U13 Sun 7 Drumcondra 2-2 Leixlip
With a 9:45 kickoff, it was an early start and we looked like we weren't awake from the kickoff with a few silly mistakes. We then woke up and settled into the game and looked in control. Jakub scored our first with some great link up play and a strong strike from the edge of the box. Unfortunately we fell asleep again and conceded straight from the restart. Waking up for the second time, we dominated again and Evan got our second after some great passing through the defence, midfield and up top. We were 2-1 up at half time. The second half we hit the woodwork twice and missed a couple of one-on-ones. Both teams went for at the end and unfortunately Drumcondra got an equaliser with 2 minutes left. The boys were disappointed with the result but had put in another strong performance.

MGL u18s Lusk 3 Leixlip 2
First defeat of the season and unfortunately against our closest rival that sees us miss out on the league title. We had plenty of chances, Lusk took theirs well. We were caught cold and went 1 down in the second minute, but deservedly equalised with a penalty from Irina. Second half was very close, but Lusk scored twice before we set up a big finish with a well taken goal from Emily Lynch. Wasn't to be.
Very proud of the girls nonetheless, a tough season that was very stop-start, but glad to have won the cup and unlucky not to win the league too.

Major 16 result St Itas 5-3 Leixlip Utd
36 hours on from our Friday night win we played St Itas who are in a battle with newbridge for the title.
We started really well, missed a couple good chances, then conceded against the break to go 1 down. We then make it 1-1 with a header from Harry Lawlor and it settles at that at HT. The 2nd half was a ding dong battle of 2 really good sides and some exceptional finishing from both teams, 2-1 to us, 3-2 to them, back to 3-3 with 10 to play after 2 great strikes from Lewis Kelly. We had more chances to score, but it just didn't happen, mix up at the back and their striker lobs keeper from 30 yards, then they break just after to make it 5-3, well in the game, massive strides this squad has taking this year. A game settled on fine margins against a team that is premier bound, but we can be really proud of the lads, 2 games in short space of time against 2 top teams from our league, league leaders on Tuesday to come so no rest for the lads.
U13M Leixlip United 4-0 Ardmore Rovers.
We started the game brightly and created several openings before Dan Lyons played Aidas Katkauskas through 1v1. Aidas opened his body brilliantly but his effort went just wide of the far post. Shortly after Dan created a great chance for himself, although the keeper saved the effort with his face Senán pounced in the 6 yard box and pressured the Ardmore defender into conceding an OG. As in some of our recent games we got complacent after scoring and almost conceded immediately. Thankfully Evan Clarke was on hand to smother the chance. As was the case in our 3-2 win away to Ardmore they never gave up and created several half chances before Charlie Cooke raced on to a Dara Moylan through ball and slotted home to put us 2up going into the break. The 2nd half threw up plenty of chances and Evan made a couple of good saves before Dara got his 2nd assist of the game. He played a beautifully weighted pass that Dan took in his stride before stroking it into the far corner. Charlie Cooke got his 2nd and our 4th after he latched on to another excellent through ball, this time by Jack Kennedy. Again Charlie placed the ball into the far corner. Ailill Forkan who had replaced Evan in goal divided bravely at the feet of an Ardmore forward to keep our clean sheet intact. The 4 nil win ensures that we will finish no lower than 3rd and with Cherry Orchard unable to be promoted our passage back to premier football has been secured despite a late season wobble. We go to Greystones on Monday knowing a win will guarantee 2nd place. Although we were in the mix for the title our objective at the start of the season was promotion so we are extremely proud of the boys for achieving that

Major 16s Leixlip 3-1 Stella Maris.
Great win for our lads against a good Stella side.
We went 1-0 up after 5 mins with a goal from Robertas, Stella hit back 15 mins later to make it 1-1, but robertas ran in to make it 2-1 2 mins later to restore the lead. A great ball into the box to Daire and he placed a delicate header into the path of Craig McQullian to head home before halftime and make it 3-1.
2nd half was backs against the wall, defended well, rode the luck at times, still dangerous on the counter, hitting the bar twice. Thankfully no more action and another 3 points on the board
