There is a great sadness in Leixlip Utd with the passing of Mick Mahady. Michael and his family have been great servants of our club.

Mick played for the club and became a player-manager before diving full time into management. I had the pleasure of playing with Mick and the not so great pleasure of playing under him. Mick was a hard taskmaster but very fair. In later years Mick was always to be found on the sidelines supporting Leixlip Utd but especially his son Niall.

We will be forming a guard of honour on Tuesday outside the church and we send our sincerest condolences to Mick's family and friends.
